BIO

Hong Kong composer HAU Yu Kin Anthony has participated in various performances, composition workshops, seminars, and student-performance assemblies. HAU has also received commissions from various organizations in Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra, Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus, New Hong Kong Philharmonia, Hong Kong Baptist University TriAngle, and Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Music.  
 

HAU has collaborated with artists and ensembles including Quartet Compertoraine (Gary Ngan, Jun Wang, Johnny Sun, Anna Kwan), flutist Ivy Chuang, clarinetist John Chan, New Hong Kong Philharmonia, the Illinois State University Saxophone Studio and the Hong Kong Baptist University music students. In 2019, HAU was selected as one of the twenty finalists in Sig. Tune for the Hong Kong Museum of Art: Creative Music Program, adjudicated by music producer and composer Chiu Tsang-hei. ​
 

HAU has studied with several composers, including Roy Magnuson, Carl Schimmel, Christopher Keyes, Matthew Schreibeis, and more. HAU started playing piano at 6 and studied piano performance with Colleen Lee Ka-ling, Tuyen Tonnu, and David Tung Tak-Wai.
